The term autokinesis refers to the visual phenomenon in which a stationary object can appear to be in motion. This composition, my first in exploring unaccompanied solo clarinet with pedal effects, utilizes delay and looping effects to add texture and give the listener the illusion of multiple instruments playing simultaneously.
